Genomic Neonatology
I study the genetic basis of disease in infants. This includes translational research to improve how genetic testing can be used to improve clinical care, as well as basic research to determine the contribution of genetic disorders to critical illness in newborns.
Areas of focus include:
The genetic contribution to FGR (fetal growth restriction) and SGA (small for gestational age) birth weight
Congenital anomalies of the kidneys and heart
Perinatal presentations of Mendelian disorders
