Students

Miles Bomback, MPH

Miles graduated Northwestern University in 2022 with a BA in Neuroscience, and recently obtained my Masters of Public Health (MPH) from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. His career goal is to study the role genetic disorders play in health outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Selin Everett

Selin’s interest in studying how genetic disorders contribute to disease began while working as a computational biology trainee at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from her freshman to senior year of undergrad. Since graduating from Middlebury College in 2022, she has worked for Columbia University Medical Center’s OBGYN research department. The engine behind the hospital’s first perinatal biobank, she has helped launch the initiative, spoken to hundreds of patients and collected thousands of samples. From doing literature searches for publications at the Broad to recently submitting a first-author manuscript on the prevalence and clinical significance of genetic disorders in preterm infants, she has developed a passion for research that will serve her well as a future medical school student.

Emily Zhao

Emily graduated with a BA in Biology from the University of Chicago in 2021. She is currently a medical student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is interested in perinatal health and the genetic influences on fetal development

Eric Kalimi

Eric is an undergraduate student at Harvard University, class of 2026. He is currently pursuing a premed trajectory alongside his major in economics. Guided by a strong interest in data analysis, he envisions leveraging these skills to advance medical problem-solving. His specific passion lies in the realm of infant health, motivating him to synthesize insights from economics and medicine, ultimately aiming to drive impactful progress in the field.
